NASPA Joins National Pharmacy Organizations to Highlight Pharmacists’ Role in Vaccine Access and Public Health
NASPA joined 13 national pharmacy organizations in a joint statement underscoring the essential role pharmacists play in protecting public health through vaccine access, education, and patient care.
The statement highlights pharmacists’ leadership in administering the majority of adult influenza, COVID-19, and RSV vaccines nationwide, and their critical role in helping patients understand and access recommended vaccines—including flu shots—during a severe respiratory virus season.
As among the most accessible health care providers, pharmacists and pharmacy team members remain a trusted resource for patients and communities, helping reduce the burden of preventable illness through evidence-based care.
