CPhA Announces Payment for Services Legislation

The California Pharmacists Association (CPhA)california just announced new legislation that will reimburse pharmacist-delivered care services in Medi-Cal! AB 1114 (Eggman) allows Medi-Cal to pay pharmacists for services such as furnishing hormonal contraceptives, naloxone, nicotine replacement therapy, travel medications, and tobacco cessation counseling. Utilizing pharmacists to provide these services for Medi-Cal beneficiaries will improve access to these vital preventative health care services.

The bill has already cleared the Assembly and now heads for a final vote on the Senate floor.
