NASPA Welcomes New President Kate Gainer

NASPA is excited to announce its 2022 President, Kate Gainer. Kate was sworn in to the President position on March 19, 2022 at the NASPA 2022 Spring Meeting in San Antonio.

Kate received her PharmD from the University Wisconsin-Madison in 2004. Following graduation, Kate moved to Iowa to complete a community pharmacy residency through Drake University at Medicap Pharmacy in Urbandale.

Last fall, Kate celebrated her 10-year work anniversary as Executive Vice President & CEO of the Iowa Pharmacy Association. Prior to her current role, Kate served as IPA’s Vice President of Professional Affairs for 6 years.

Kate and her husband, Bob, have four children, Ray (10), Gigi (9), Telly (7) and Tessa (7). In her free time, Kate enjoys exercising and staying active, traveling to warm locations with her husband, and visiting family in Wisconsin.
