State Association Staff Wins Quality Award

A staff member at the Pharmacy Society of Wisconsin (PSW) was recently recognized for her commitment to quality in community pharmacy innovation.  Kari Trapskin, Vice President of Health Care Quality Initiatives at PSW, was awarded the 2018 Community Pharmacy Innovation in Quality (CPIQ) Awards during the 2018 PQA Annual Meeting in Baltimore, MD.  Kari was recognized for her contributions to the Wisconsin Pharmacy Quality Collaborative (WPQC),  a sustainable program providing expanded pharmacy services that are reimbursed by payors.

The Pharmacy Quality Alliance (PQA) and the Community Pharmacy Foundation (CPF) established the CPIQ awards to “recognize high performance for a pioneering individual practitioner and an innovative community pharmacy practice that result in improvements in quality of care, medication optimization and patient outcomes.”
